Electric cars (EVs) are becoming increasingly popular as more and more people come to the realisation that they are an excellent method to mitigate the adverse effects that conventional automobiles that are fuelled by fossil fuels have on the environment. Electric vehicles have the potential to contribute to the diversification of energy sources, the reduction of air pollution, and the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases in the fight against climate change. There are a number of factors that are preventing electric vehicles from gaining widespread acceptability. These include high initial costs, a lack of charging infrastructure, concerns about range anxiety, and the environmental implications of battery production and disposal. how electric vehicles have the potential to accomplish sustainable mobility by reducing carbon emissions and boosting energy efficiency, as well as the role that electric vehicles play in the endeavor to reach this goal. this article examines the challenges that are preventing the broad adoption of electric vehicles and investigates potential solutions to these issues. By placing these aspects in their proper context, it is possible to gain a clearer understanding of the potential impact that electric vehicles (EVs) could have on transportation patterns, technological advancements, and policy actions aimed at achieving a low-carbon future.
