Digital Transformation as an Approach to Developing Governance and Smart Control in Economic Institutions: A Comparative Study between the Algerian Experience and Selected International Models

Abstract

In light of the rapid developments in the digital world, economic institutions are increasingly required to reconsider their control systems to meet the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This study aims to examine the impact of digital transformation on the development of control systems within economic institutions by analyzing the relationship between digitization, governance, and smart control. The findings reveal that the integration of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) contributes to enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accountability while reducing administrative and financial risks. The results also indicate that the success of digital transformation depends on a strong digital infrastructure, qualified human resources, and a supportive legal framework. The study concludes that digital transformation serves as a key driver for achieving good governance and building smart economic institutions capable of adapting to the challenges of the digital age.
